The Putnam County Health Department is continuing to work with community partners to complete a comprehensive Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan. Results will be published later this year.
According to Cindy Farley, president of the Putnam County Board of Health, “We’re happy with the feedback we have received. We’re encouraging Putnam County residents to participate in the assessment to determine the population health of the people in Putnam County.” Besides meeting a statutory requirement, survey results will guide the Putnam County Board of Health in its long-range planning.
According to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and other sources, Putnam is West Virginia’s healthiest county. The survey gives residents an opportunity to share their opinions about health and the county’s quality of life.
The information collected in this community-wide survey will be used to develop the 2019-2024 Putnam County Community Health Improvement Plan. The plan will address opportunities for improvement identified during the community health assessment process.
Paper surveys are being offered at numerous locations throughout the county. A web-based survey is available online at Putnam County 2018 Community Health Assessment Survey .
