CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA – Humana and the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department are teaming up for a Community Health Fair tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at Humana’s Southridge location off of Corridor G.
KCHD’s Clinic team will be giving COVID-19 omicron boosters and flu shots throughout the event, but people can stop by also for health and wellness screenings, diabetes education, and physical and mental health resources. At noon, Alicia Fox, registered dietician and director of Marshall University’s Nutrition Education Program, will talk about diabetes-focused nutrition. At 1 p.m., ACTIVE Southern West Virginia will provide a chair yoga class. Humana will provide snacks from Olive Tree Cafe and Catering in South Charleston as well as fun giveaways for attendees. The event is free and open to the public.
