Beverly, a former educator from South Charleston, says “Project Last Shot” is a good use of taxpayer money. She made the comments to Charleston Mayor Danny Jones during a Feb. 14 call-in to “The Danny Jones Show” on WCHS Radio.
“Kudos to the county commission—Kent Carper and the other commissioners. They were [at Charleston Town Center] giving free flu shots, hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes. They were actually walking up and down the mall to give hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes to people, and I just thought that was an extremely good use of my taxpayer money…”
The Kanawha County Commission and the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department are joining to offer free flu shots to Kanawha County residents. KCHD is administering the shots. The Kanawha County Commission is paying for the cost of the flu vaccine.
